Desert Knowledge Australia, the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre, and the Desert Peoples Centre would like to thank all of those who participated in the Desert Knowledge Symposium and Business Showcase held in Alice Springs in November.
The Symposium was a resounding success, attracting over 350 delegates from around the world, including a large South African contingent. The Symposium provided people with an opportunity to discuss how business innovators, researchers and educators from Australia and overseas are working in partnership with communities, industry and governments to develop a body of desert knowledge that will help sustain desert communities around the world. The Business Showcase was also a highlight with over 30 Exhibitors showcasing their products and ideas.
