Best Practice for Water Supply Management
Knowledge and information sharing is central to enabling successful water planning and management processes. Previous research on water management for remote settlements found that although training programs for local residents was valuable, the most productive learning occurred when using tools and resources in an informal setting. A subsequent project to further develop appropriate tools and resources for remote Indigneous residents and service providers is currently underway. The presentation will outline the strengths and potential difficulties to create a 'one size fits all' tool for improved water management and planning at all levels - local, regional and national.
