The Natural Resource Management Economy. Possibilities for an emerging economic sector
In Australia Indigenous people contribute extensively to Natural and Cultural Resource Management (NRM) outcomes. In the context of a developing NRM economy, this paper examines options for expanding Indigenous participation. It argues for the transformation of existing forms of participation in an emerging but potentially significant segment of the economy. In particular this paper examines developing a market for the delivery of national NRM outcomes in remote and regional areas and building the capacity of Indigenous people to service this market.
