The Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia through its New Opportunities in Tropical and Pastoral Agriculture (NOTPA) project is facilitating the development of a native plant products industry in North-Western Australia.
A key goal is to assist with developing production, processing and marketing systems that provide opportunity and equity for Aboriginal people throughout the supply chain. The production trials are exploring innovative techniques and unique plant products. In addition the project is seeking to enhance market security through certification and regional branding.
