Remote Area Art Centre Governance
It can be shown that good governance is critical to the improvement and survival of remote community Art Centres in a competetive Aboriginal art industry.
We submit a case study of a successful governance training program conducted over four years involving 9 Art Centres in the Pitjantjatjara and Ngaanyatjara Lands.
The program is committed to the empowerment of Aboriginal people as key stakeholders in ensuring that Art Centres remain sustainable and successful Aboriginal enterprises.
The presentation will examine the objectives of the program, its delivery methods and outcomes in terms of creating a competetive edge for critical Aboriginal businesses.
