The role of corporate governance in remote Indigenous pastoral enterprises has become of increased importance in order to ensure Indigenous pastoral enterprises operate effectively. With Aboriginal Corporations having to complete the requirements of the CASTI (Corporations and Torres Strait Islander) Act the role of corporate governance is vital to the business operation. We explore the methods of assisting to develop stronger corporate governance and investigate the role it plays in business development.
