Grazing Land Management in Central Australia: Delivering Tools and Principles for optimising production and Land condition
The Grazing Land Management (GLM) workshop is a Meat and Livestock Australia EDGEnetwork training package. Course content was determined by asking land managers to identify their priority outcomes from GLM. These fell into two broad themes, optimizing productivity and land condition. To meet these outcomes, local information and research was utilised to tailor the workshop to the Central Australia region. A GLM Officer coordintes workshop delivery and follow up support. Since delivery commenced in 2006, 25% of Central Australia's land managers have participated and it has become apparent that time is the critical factor in achieving the original priority outcomes.
