Drinks and fingerfood will be served from 18:00 - 19:00. The story telling will start at 19:00.

‘Stories from the Heart’ will be a two hour journey into the lives of ten Central Australians.

To live in Central Australia requires a certain passion for life that is reflected in the many fascinating stories of people and this place. Creativity, resilience, humour and innovative home spun solutions are just part and parcel of the way of life in Desert Australia.

During the evening you will meet 10 remarkable people who will share some of their own perspectives and experiences of living in Central Australia. This is a night not to be missed. It will not only be entertaining it will give you a new appreciation on how people live in remote locations. The great Australian character is alive and well.

Symposium Dinner

The Symposium Dinner will be a highlight of the social program.

Buses will depart the Alice Springs Convention Centre at the following times:

• 17:15 – For the Desert Park Experience and Dinner
• 18:00 – For a shorter Desert Park walk and Dinner
• 19:00 – For the Symposium dinner only

Dinner service will start at 19:30.
Please bring a jacket or sweater, as it can be quite cool in the evenings in Alice Springs.
The approximate travel time is 30 minutes from the Convention Centre. Buses will return to the Convention Centre at 22:00 and 22:30.
